Drink red wine without the worry!
Good news: there are some ways to ensure that these stains do not become permenant eye sores. On delicate fabrics: Soak the spot with denatured alcohol. After soaking, you can flush with white vinegar to remove residual stain. If it is a more sturdy fabric, coat the stain with salt and let stand for five minutes. Stretch stained area over a bowl and secure with a rubber band. Place the bowl in the sink, and carefully pour boiling water over stain from a height of at least a foot.
If the stain is on laminate or counter top, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Use a scrub pad or brush to lightly scrub the stain away! If remnants are still visible, just simply use some dish soap and the stain should disappear.
