Drink red wine without the worry!

We all love a nice glass of red wine with dinner or as a means to unwind after a long day. The problem is that there is the constant worry of a spill, glass ring, or even leftover drops from pouring. No matter how hard you try, there always seems to be some proof left from drinking wine. Many people even avoid enjoying wine solely for that reason--who wants to chance a permenant stain on their counters, carpets and furniture?

Good news: there are some ways to ensure that these stains do not become permenant eye sores. On delicate fabrics: Soak the spot with denatured alcohol. After soaking, you can flush with white vinegar to remove residual stain. If it is a more sturdy fabric, coat the stain with salt and let stand for five minutes. Stretch stained area over a bowl and secure with a rubber band. Place the bowl in the sink, and carefully pour boiling water over stain from a height of at least a foot.

If the stain is on laminate or counter top, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Use a scrub pad or brush to lightly scrub the stain away! If remnants are still visible, just simply use some dish soap and the stain should disappear.

Of course there are countless tips and home remedies out there for stain removal, but these are just a few to try. Now you can enjoy your red wine with just a little less worry!
